Ever Since Triple H took up his role as the Head of Creative at WWE, he has ensured the return of many fan-favorite wrestlers. His way of managing the most popular wrestling entertainment has been catching many eyes, as his perspective differs from the former boss Vince McMahon.

Talking about the return of former stars, Braun Strowman could soon be added to the list. Adam Scherr, known in-ring as Braun Strowman, joined WWE in 2013 and made his Monday Night RAW debut in 2015 as a new member of The Wyatt Family. But he soon left the group and became more of a standalone star, proving his individual mettle.

The budget cuts carried out by WWE in June last year forced him out of the company. He went ahead and announced the release of his own wrestling promotion — CYN, ‘Control Your Narrative’. Former WWE star EC3 was with him in the process.

Braun Strowman’s release from WWE and return

The news of Strowman’s return has unleashed a frenzy among fans with a lot of mixed responses on social media.

He was released from WWE at a very unexpected time. Just about nine months after holding the WWE Universal title, which he clenched in 2020 at WrestleMania.

Strowman had re-signed with WWE just in 2019, receiving a sizable multi-year, seven-figure deal. That deal was insignificant in comparison to some of the more recent contracts WWE has given out in the previous year. When his contract was actually down to its final few months, insiders in WWE claimed that he ‘played hardball’ in his negotiations.

Being the formidable opponent that Strowman is, perhaps the deal was justified. However, it is still a given that the exorbitant deal could be one of the reasons for his release over others, as it gave WWE a larger budget cut.

“In the year or so, since leaving WWE, numerous talent have noted to Fightful that his comments on independent wrestlers rubbed them the wrong way, though at this point they weren’t even sure if he meant it or was doing it to garner heat,” noted Sean Ross Sapp.

However, WWE fans on Twitter surely had many reactions to the possibility of “The Mountain of a Man” returning.

The fans seem to be very divided in their opinion on this news and possible return. But as many tweeted, Triple H probably has a plan in his head. It is difficult to say how good this decision will turn out to be. Only time will tell. What do you think about this decision?
