WWE Superstar John Cena is now happily married to Shay Shariatzadeh since 2020. However, before his marriage with Shariatzadeh, Cena was in a long relationship with former WWE Superstar, Nikki Bella. Bella and Cena dated each other from 2012 till 2018.

Cena even proposed to Bella after their WrestleMania 33 match, which Bella accepted. However, they stayed engaged for around a year before their eventual broke up in 2018. After which, both of them went their separate ways.

Both Bella and Cena married their respective partners later. However, during their relationship phase, a point came when the duo had almost separated due to something John Cena had done.

Speaking on the show, ‘Total Divas’, Nikki Bella revealed that Cena’s lewd moment on the film, $110m film, ‘Trainwreck’ caused her to lose her libido. One-half of the Bella twins said, “Imagine watching your man do a sex scene and have the whole world see his big butt. You know you get visuals. I swear I couldn’t mast*rbate forever because I just think of the sex scene.”

John Cena’s sexy scene on-screen made Bella uncomfortable, and it almost ended their relationship then, long before their eventual separation.

Former WWE Superstar Nikki Bella broke all societal norms when she wore her previously bought dress during her engagement with Cena, on her wedding day. Bella is currently married to Artem Chigvintsev. And the couple also has a child together.

Bella revealed that she bought the dress for herself. She kept the gown because they were special to her, and meant a lot to her. Speaking to Brides, Bella said, “I bought those dresses for me. I didn’t buy those dresses for that person. Yes, it was going to be for that event, but that event didn’t happen.”

She then advised all future brides to wear the dress they love, and not give in to the pressure of the society. Bella is going to star in four-part E! special called ‘Nikki Bella Says I Do.’ The show is going to air next year.
