The wrestling world has seen several top wrestlers come and go. However, one name that still echoes around whenever it is heard is that of John Cena. The 45-year-old is one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time. His crowd-pulling charisma, wrestling abilities, mic-skills, and achievements are second to none.
Although Cena is no longer a full-timer at WWE, his presence still brings forward major crowd reactions every time. John Cena made his debut for WWE in 2002 and steadily became one of the greatest superstars. Now, after 20 years of his career at WWE, he has reached the legendary status.

With the footsteps that Cena left behind, often upcoming wrestlers are compared to him. The Leader of Cenation began his career as The Doctor of Thuganomics. Wearing big metal chains, jorts and oversized sleeveless tees, Cena would portray a white rapper.
However, later he would drop the gimmick and take up his current gimmick. Current AEW Wrestler, Max Caster however, has recently been compared to John Cena several times. Caster recently spoke to the AJ Awesome Show about such allegations, and his relationship with Cena.
The 33-year-old stated Cena to be an inspiration. However, he further clarified that Cena has reached out to him often, but unfortunately they have never met each other.
Caster revealed that while people target him for ripping Cena off, John Cena himself has reached out to him, and stated that he has been doing it right.
He said, “sometimes he says I do it better than he did, it’s his opinion. I don’t know if I wanna agree with that, but I believe in myself, 100%, and his confidence in me only boosts me up.” He concluded that Cena used to be his hero, and still is.
Former rival to John Cena is now his late night friend
John Cena is known for uplifting and putting over several new and upcoming WWE Superstars. And a similar thing happened back in 2015, when Cena was involved in a rivalry with former WWE Universal Champion, Kevin Owens.

Back during that time, Owens was in a heated rivalry with Cena. However, long gone are those days, and now him and Owens are good friends. Cena recently returned on the last episode of SmackDown in 2022, to tag alongside Owens for helping him against Reigns and Zayn.
On a recent episode of Cheap Heat podcast, Owens revealed his current relationship with Cena. He revealed that Cena now texts him late in the night, and that too without any context. This statement itself proves how far The Prizefighter and the 45-year-old have come since their fierce rivalry back in 2015.
