Dwayne Johnson has achieved more than any pro-wrestler. Not everyone can claim to be a world-famous wrestling icon, one of the highest-grossing superstars, and a successful entrepreneur at the same time. Ever since his first major role in ‘The Scorpion King’, Johnson has been riding high on the waves of success. However, it may surprise fans to know that ‘The Rock’ helped set up the acting career for one of his biggest WWE rivals.
Speaking at Comic-Con Wales, John ‘The Champ’ Cena, revealed how Johnson’s advice helped him get started with Hollywood. Incidentally, the 16-time WWE Champion, credited Johnson for his massive Hollywood success by saying, “He is one of the reasons I have a life outside the WWE. What advice did Dwayne Johnson give Cena?
Cena reminisced about his first acting role in a movie called ‘Trainwreck’. “There was a pretty thorough audition process, and I was very nervous. Because I’ve never been through that before. I was able to ask him (Johnson), ‘Hey man, do you have any advice?’ He said, ‘They asked you there for a reason dude; just be yourself,” said Cena, revealing that Johnson’s one sentence helped him calm down.

Dwayne Johnson’s bitter history with Cena
Every WWE fan knows of the bitter rivalry between the Rock and Cena that went on for almost a decade with Cena conceding defeat to Johnson at WrestleMania 27 and avenging his loss at WrestleMania 28. With both superstars trash-talking each other in some of the most creative ways ever seen in the ring, the Rock-Cena feud is one that fans will not forget.
However, Johnson and Cena seem to have buried the hatchet and moved on. Both wrestling legends are making a killing at the box-office. Cena is all set to appear in the spy thriller ‘Argylle’ and Johnson’s ‘Black Adam’ will release in October. Hopefully, fans can next expect to see these cultural icons battle it out at the box office.
