‘I Try to Be Genuine but..’: John Cena Once Laid Bare the Hard Cold Facts Behind Dealing With Fans in Public

The Leader of Cenation has dominated the WWE ring for several years now. After making his WWE debut in 2002, John Cena has never looked back since. Prior to his WWE days, he was a struggling bodybuilder trying to make ends meet.
However, he struck gold with his WWE contract and soon became one of the top superstars in the company. He often headlined major events and was, the majority of the time, involved in World-title feuds.
However, after a long tenure in WWE, he left being a full-timer there and joined the Hollywood and movie business.

Public figures and celebrities are often known for having crazy fan moments, often wholesome and often scary. During his interview with Sports Illustrated in 2018, John Cena spoke about a variety of things, including his moments with his fans.
When the host asked him about his “super crazy moments” with fans, Cena replied he had none. He stated he did not have any of those, because he was excellent at making the fans aware of the situation.
Cena said, “No super crazy moments. Just I am really good at making people understand the situation. Like, if people follow you into a bathroom, or wanna take a picture, I will absolutely be like, ‘We are in a bathroom. I am about to urinating or defecating. You sure you wanna kind of hang out right now? Because that’s what you are asking.’ “
The 45-year-old further stated that as a public figure, they are often subjected to cameras in the public, but that does not mean they cannot do their job. He stated, “ a lot of times when working out, you know a lot of times you would just feel like an exhibit. Cameras on all the time and you kind of go through an arc of acceptance.”
He stated that celebrities are often abrasive to these in the beginning. However, with time, they gradually they go through an arc of acceptance. Often hating these behaviours, these public figures gradually understand their fan’s behaviour and accept them.

As celebrities, these figures are often seen in public and are expected to give in to their fan’s request. Because, if not, they are stated to be rude and impolite. John Cena explained that as public personalities, they cannot always keep in to their requests.

He said, “The only times I feel bad if I am travelling back and forth from Australia, a flight I could not miss. When I am dragging my bags to the terminal and people are like, ‘hey man! You got two minutes?’ I don’t. But I try to be as genuine as I can. “

He stated that although he felt bad during those times, but he tries to be genuine, and make them understand the situation.
