In the video doing rounds on Twitter, the 69-year-old Hulk Hogan was seen heaping praises and complimenting Graham. He would claim how Graham’s physique and aura made him gasp and look at him in wonder. WWE Veteran Gene Okerlund also claimed Graham inspired Hogan.

Okerlund also revealed how both Jesse Ventura and Hulk Hogan drew inspiration from Graham. Hogan went on to become one of the greatest names in the world of pro wrestling, but the late WWE superstar had a huge part to play in it.

What did Hulk Hogan claim while praising Billy Graham?

If one can draw comparisons, Hulk Hogan had several similarities with Graham in his body language and mannerisms. Although not a direct rip-off of Billy Graham, he heavily inspired Hogan. With iconic blonde hair, impressive physique, and uncanny mannerisms, Hogan was the true torchbearer of Graham.

In the video, Hogan claimed, “Billy Graham jumped upon that second rope and he threw that 22-inch arms you know. I looked up at that guy and I wanted to be just like him.” And so did he. Over the years, he crafted a different persona of him, but the legend heavily inspired his early days.
