But of course, The Rock is playing a fictional character as he runs for the US Presidential. After this, rumors swirled that Dwayne Johnson would throw his name for the 2024 elections.

Dwayne Johnson for the US Presidency?

As weird as it sounds, former WWE World Champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson running for the US presidency doesn’t sound bad. Even WWE Hall of Famer and Johnson’s real-life cousin Rikishi spoke about it to support this theory.

The Rock’s cousin, Rikishi, recently sat down with Brandon Robinson of Bally Sports. He was asked to share his thoughts if Dwayne Johnson runs for the US Presidency.

Rikishi responded, “I’ll be voting for him [The Rock]! I don’t know about being the Vice President [laughs]. I’ll be voting for him, though, because I’m not the political cat; I’m just the cat who supports the people!”

Dwayne Johnson has achieved impressive accomplishments in his life. Every step that The Rock took in his career has turned into fortunate gold. In addition, the wrestler turned actor back in 2019 also posted his views on Twitter about his potential run for the US Presidency.

“Not sure our Founding Fathers ever envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick up truck driving, fanny pack wearing guy joining their club – but if it ever happens it’d be my honor to serve the people,” The Rock tweeted.

WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi couldn’t stop praising The Rock!

Since Rikishi and The Rock are real-life cousins, they might have shared a childhood together. During the same interview, the host Brandon Robinson asked WWE Hall of Famer how it was growing with Hollywood Megastar Dwayne Johnson.

“We all knew him and his father, and they flew all over the place, but when we finally did get together, it was all good! A young kid from Allentown, Pennsylvania, going to high school; he was always in the gym,” Rikishi said.

He added, “I for sure thought that he was going to play NFL Football, you know? Like, really be that because he was jacked up if you see some of the documentaries, you know? That’s real! At 13 years old, he was a grown adult size! He was a BEAST!”

Rikishi noted that Johnson’s move into the WWE business was one of the best decisions. The Rock got in the WWE after his father opened up doors for other pro wrestlers and even for Hollywood. However, Dwayne Johnson jumped ship to the film industry, he inspired many others.
