The top of the mountain in WWE right now is only occupied by one man, Roman Reigns. After a successful three years as champion, Reigns looks like the biggest star that WWE has produced ever since the days of Dwayne Johnson and John Cena. But what’s next for The Tribal Chief? While he is in an amazing televised storyline that surrounds Raw and SmackDown, who could possibly dethrone him? Not only will beating Reigns be an impossible task, but following his steps will be truly disastrous for the next champion. The shadow that Reigns has already created is large enough that no one could replicate it. While all of these sounds humungous, Sami Zayn, the fan-favorite underdog, says that could be the WWE Champion in the future soon.

Current WWE star talks about beating Roman Reigns for the WWE title
While talking to The Detroit News, Sami Zayn talked about his career’s future. He mentioned, “When you get this close and you’re in the periphery of the WWE title, it makes you think, well, I’m already here, maybe winning it’s not totally unrealistic. That would for sure be like a cherry on top of everything else. If it happens, awesome. If it doesn’t happen, it still would have all been awesome.”

Throughout the year that we have seen Sami’s introduction to the Bloodline, the end goal is clear. Zayn is going to betray Reigns in a major way. While we thought that could be Clash at the Castle and then WarGames, Zayn always hinted at it and left the fans wanting more. But saying this out loud feels like the story is coming to a close.

But other rumors point toward Cody Rhodes being the one who will face Reigns at WrestleMania. Being the world-acclaimed star that he is, Rhodes could surely fill in Reigns’ shoes.
