WWE legend John Cena was certainly one of the most loved, larger-than-life stars in the Ruthless Aggression Era and later in the PG Era. Especially children used to be very fond of the biggest baby face of the company. In general, kids are used to imagining WWE superstars as their real-life superhero who overcomes the odds and triumph at the end. Well, Cena really did that to some extent with the help of WWE.

Cena achieved a lot of WWE accolades in his illustrated career, but nothing matches the achievement he recorded last year, getting into the Guinness Book of World Records for granting 650 wishes to children through the Make-A-Wish foundation.

The foundation helps to bring smiles to the children’s faces to whom life has not been very kind. Children ranging from 2 1/2 to 18 years, suffering from various illnesses, get a chance to let their wishes known to their favorite celebrities. John Cena is the most requested celebrity for granting wishes that can widely vary from wanting to meet a celebrity and go to an event/place to wanting some gifts from others.

He noted, ‘This is the best avenue for the wish experience… I wasn’t ready when o first got the chance going from live movies is like getting stuck. And you really have to develop that mindset. But in WWE, I’m on 8: 05 and off at 8:21 and I gotta get to the next town to do it again.”

He continued, “But in turn, was the best experience because the kids come and liked the focus and energy with fans streaming into the building and they have their signs. They wanna see me. It’s like exciting. And on top of that, after we give our final handshake, I literally ask that you got chips out there. Is there anything you wanna see? They’re like, can you do this and this? It’s the best. It’s an experience catered to you.”

However, despite possessing this immense love for children, Cena didn’t want a child in his life, something that makes one of the prime causes behind her break up with Nikki Bella.

Despite his love and kindness toward children, Cena doesn’t want to have kids of his own at the moment. It first came to light when former girlfriend, Nikki Bella, opened up about Cena’s reluctance toward having kids in his life.

The matter rose into more prominence after Cena got married to Shay Shariatzadeh in October 2020. Finally, during a recent appearance on the Drew Barrymore show, the former world champion chose to clear the air.
