Bobby Lashley was first with ECW.  Afterward, he joined TNA and made a name for himself as one of the top wrestlers in the business. Lashley returned to WWE in 2018 and would go on to win the Intercontinental Championship twice. Now, he has revealed that he would love to face Brock Lesnar in the ring.

Lashley is no doubt a top Superstar, but he hasn’t yet won the major titles in WWE. He feuded with many top performers in the company, but has never got a chance to go face to face with the ‘Beast Incarnate.’

Speaking to talkSport, Lashley said he knows that the match with Lesnar will happen, eventually. He was asked how he felt when he almost got the title shot back in 2018, but then lost to Roman Reigns.

“When I heard the winner gets Brock, I was like, is this it? Am I finally getting it? Then it’s ‘not now!’

“I don’t know what the situation is. I don’t know what the case is. But I do believe eventually it will happen before Brock and I are senior citizens.

“Of course, I want the Brock match. I’m not erasing that. I think eventually the dots will be connected, and I think right now with the right people in the right places, I think a lot of really big things could be happening,” Lashley said in the interview.

Bobby Lashley on what motivates him

Bobby Lashley also talked about what he wants to achieve in WWE. He mentioned how he looked up to the older guys in the business, and now he is that older guy. He wants the current youngsters to go through him to make the best for themselves.

“I definitely want to win a world title. I definitely want to. The years that I’ve put in the business and the matches I’ve had with so many different people, I definitely want to. But another thing I want to do, and I hope this is not shooting myself in the foot or kicking myself in the butt, but when I first got in the wrestling business, and I was first starting out, there were guys like myself who were a bit older in the business.

“And one thing they did, they wanted to make the younger guys. But at the same, they had to have something credible for the younger guys to go after. And I think that I’m one of those guys. The younger guys should be hungry to come and beat me because I’m not someone you should just be able to beat.”

Lately, WWE has given Lashley an unbeaten run. He has been booked strong, and if they continue down the same path, Lashley might soon get his hands on the title and probably face Brock Lesnar after that.
