Jeff Hardy Injury: Matt Hardy Protects Younger Brother as Sammy Guevara ‘Horribly’ Botched Dive

Tragic struck during the taping of the Feb 16 episode of AEW Rampage, where Jeff Hardy fought Sammy Guevara. Hardy was seriously injured as a move from Guevara caused him a broken nose and what seemed to be a concussion. Recently, social media was flooded with a video of this bout, wherein it showed off the reaction of Matt Hardy, immediately after Guevara broke former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy’s nose.

How did Matt Hardy respond to Jeff’s injury?

Jeff Hardy got hurt in the match against Sammy Guevara. Following the release of the video online, a lot of fans were afraid that he was hurt badly. However, while initial reports of a possible concussion were dismissed, it turns out that Jeff Hardy broke his nose. In a recent video over social media, Matt Hardy was seen flipping off Guevara after Jeff was injured.

Additionally, in the newest episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt Hardy and Jon Alba talked about Jeff’s situation. Matt said that while Jeff broke his nose, that was all they knew.

With the news that Jeff’s injury wasn’t as severe as initially thoughts, it’s good to see that the Hardy brother will probably be back in the ring again soon. Still, having a broken nose is not fun at all.

When Sammy Guevara did a shooting star press on Hardy during the AEW Rampage tape, his knee hit Hardy hard in the face. The injury looked bad, but Hardy said he was fine.

In the new episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt said, “They were having a hell of a match, it’s going to air on Rampage. They have a great match, and there is a point where Sammy does a move, and his knee catches Jeff in the face. It definitely rocked Jeff, and Jeff for sure has a broken nose, that’s really all we know. They’re still going to undergo some more testing and what not to try and find out what his total injury is or would be. We know, right now, it’s at a minimum a broken nose,” said Matt.

Matt also claimed Jeff was in a good mood after the game and that Jeff’s broken nose was the first one he’s ever had in his career. Fans hope that Hardy won’t miss too much time after this little setback.
