The Stamford-based company is seemingly up to a huge reshuffling of the roster. Despite acquiring a higher place in the viewership graph in the post-WrestleMania session, WWE opted for some experiments through another talent-cutting spree. With Jinder Mahal being the latest one to be released, WWE has let go of a bunch of stars in the recent past. Let’s take a quick glance at the list and the prevailing situation.
Several superstars had to get over their WWE term over unspecified reason
We saw a similar wave of talent cutting amidst the Blockbuster TKO deal a few months ago. Since then, WWE evened the scores, taking a few stars, including CM Punk, Naomi, etc., back to the roster. Now, again, the old trend has reoccurred with Zinder Mahal’s shock departure announcement on Twitter. His ‘I Quit’ tweet sent shockwaves to the WWE Universe. But to add to the shock, he’s not alone. Some trusted sources confirmed that Xia Li and Xyon Quinn are also no longer a part of the WWE roster.

Being the first female Chinese superstar, Li was someone the company vested their money in. After a prominent NXT run, she has been moved to the blue brand and also had a brief run in Raw. Despite being booked alongside some big names like Becky Lynch, Li failed to gain any traction. Finally, she signed off with a good note, thanking everyone who had been there throughout her journey.

On the other hand, Quinn only wrestled twice since the WWE draft in 2023. He has not been seen inside the ring after getting jobbed out to Bron Breakker in six seconds on the March 1, 2024, episode of WWE SmackDown.
We need to wait for more information to know the reasons and other details behind this first mass firing of 2024.
And this is not it. Names continue to be added to the departure list, making us wonder where the end is.
More superstars continue expanding the release list
Veer Mahhan and Sanga are the latest ones to follow in the footsteps of Mahal and others. Veer Mahaan posted a gratitude message for his former wrestling home on his official Twitter handle. In English, the message reads, ‘‘When it comes to the honor and respect of Indians, sacrifice comes first. Good Bye WWE”
बात जब हम भारतवासियों के मान सम्मान पे आ जाए तो त्याग सबसे पहले। Good Bye WWE 🙏🏾
