After having a match on the last SmackDown of 2022, John Cena made his first WWE appearance in 2023. The fans were excited to see him since WWE posted the news about the Hollywood star making a return during the WrestleMania season. However, along with the fans, a WWE star was also eager to witness the long-awaited moment. Surprisingly, the superstar also brought a welcome gift that is bigger that any Hollywood role.

While Cena was almost ready to address his fans, Austin Theory quickly made his way to the ring. He took the mic and shared the experience of being a Cena fan. Moreover, he shared about the gift he brought for Cena too.

Theory said, “And just like that John, I got all the respect for you. Hey, maybe you’ll didn’t knew this, but I became a WWE superstar because of you. I remember watching you on TV with my mom. You inspired me John, you did. The Hustle, the Loyalty, the Respect I thank you for that. Hey no need to disrespect me because I came out here with a gift for you John.”

The ‘A-Town Down’ star added, “A gift that is from the bottom of my heart, it’s a gift that is even bigger that any movie role you’re gonna do. It’s a gift of me and you…yeah say it up because that gift is me and you on the grandest stage of them all for the United States Championship, Austin Theory vs John Cena”

Theory had already made his intentions clear to confront Cena on RAW. Moreover, it was clear that he wanted ‘Super Cena’ at the grandest stage of them all.

John Cena accepts the challenge over WWE Universe’s approval

The 16-time world champion is the biggest babyface WWE has ever seen in the modern era. He knows to handle the crowd and walk with them during the matches and the promos. A similar thing happened on RAW, while he accepted Theory’s challenge after brutally trolling him.

Initially, Cena rejected the challenge, saying Theory doesn’t deserve any opportunity to face him. However, he changed his mind after a few minutes and decided to go to WrestleMania 39. But he didn’t decide this by himself, as he asked the WWE universe what they think.
