It not only helps the followers to associate with their favorite performers but also helps build a connection. WWE legend John Cena sure knows a thing or two about resonating with a global audience. His long and rewarding career speaks volumes about it. Recently, a wrestling legend revealed how his advice worked wonders for the Cenation Leader.

The ring gear donned by him was particularly famous among the younger audiences. ‘Never Give Up’ was not only his motto, but he lived and breathed through it. A record-equalling 16 world championships display the amazing time he has had in the ring. Recently, WWE and WCW legend Kevin Nash talked about the sound words of wisdom that he imparted to a young Cena. He was talking on his Kliq This podcast.

He said, “I’d always take 3X or the biggest I could get because and I told Jonathan (John Cena) and he said he asked me for advice. Always wear a baggy T-shirt because especially if you’re not going to work in it so when you take it off there’s I mean there’s that like holy f**k, like that guy’s got a good physique as opposed to having a T-shirt sprayed on you. And John actually, I mean, throughout his career he always wore an oversized T-shirt“.

It was great words from the experienced campaigner, and Cena, to his credit, heeded it all throughout his illustrious career. While he changed the color of his ring gear often, the oversized t-shirt remained common.

Of course, The Doctor Of Thuganomics matched it with hard work and grit in his in-ring work. However, the importance of the right set of gear for a performer cannot be understated.

Cena has made the transition from a wrestler to an actor look quite effortless. A feat that much before him, Dwayne Johnson also pulled off to great success. He is pulling off big-money projects from streaming services.

The Cenation Leader returned to in-ring action during the last SmackDown of 2022. He teamed up with Kevin Owens to face The Bloodline duo of Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. And as throughout the majority of his career, he ended on the winning side.

The sound words from Kevin Nash definitely helped John Cena throughout his career. But he would have anyway achieved the level of greatness that he managed. But his ring gear is also a major part of his success in the squared circle. And for that, he would surely credit Nash.
