The Vancouver Canucks might still be a little far from winning a Stanley Cup. But meanwhile, they will fight for a championship belt. Recently, the head coach of the professional ice hockey team, the Vancouver Canucks, used WWE fandom to fuel the players as a post-game tradition.

Canadian head coach Bruce Boudreau decided to spice things up in the Canucks locker room. He introduced a Canucks Championship Belt. This WWE-inspired gimmick will motivate players to battle for one championship belt in the spirit of the sport.

As it turns out, Bruce Boudreau is a big professional wrestling fan. The head coach flexed his WWE intelligence during an interview on the NHL Network. The Canucks coach’s favorite player is his Canadian fellow mate, Kevin Owens.

The Canucks coach named his top 5 wrestlers!

Global’s Jay Janower asked Bruce Boudreau to list his top 5 favorite wrestlers of all time. Bruce stated he would go with all Canadian wrestlers. The coach said, “Bret Hart’s number one.”

Immediately, he followed the list with his favorite Canadian, Kevin Owens. There was no doubt that Kevin Owens wouldn’t make the first five on his list. He also mentioned Johnny Powers because, according to him, he started the infamous ‘figure four’ move.

The Canucks coach to round out his top 5, Bruce had to leave Canada for the remaining two most significant of all time. But, he responded, “Who didn’t like Steve Austin and The Rock. They were characters, they were great storytellers, and I think the storylines were so good back then that they made it very interesting to watch.”

The Brahma Bull used to win the crowd with his mic skills and his electrifying moves inside the ring. Meanwhile, Stone Cold Steve Austin had a persona that could never be created again.

The WWE Universe personified and accepted his popular Stone Cold Stunner with a beer lover gimmick. Now, on Twitter, the word got back to Stone Cold Steve Austin, and he replied to Bruce with a “Hell Yeah!”
