Trish Stratus broke her three-year-long hiatus as she returned to the WWE on 22nd August 2022. Her return coincided with an interruption from Damage CTRL. In 2023, it culminated in a feud between the heel stable and a team comprising Stratus, Lita, and Becky Lynch. The two teams clashed at WrestleMania 39 where Stratus and her team won the match. However, Stratus soon turned heel and attacked Becky Lynch, revealing her true intentions. In a recent promo, she also claimed to be a pioneer in the women’s division. However, fans were quick to remind her about the past.

“When I first came to the WWE, women’s wrestling was a joke. And I proceeded to single-handedly change everything. I brought credibility to a non-existent women’s division,” the former WWE Hardcore Champion said. She reminded fans that while they might say she and Lita were responsible for revolutionizing the said division, she was just alone.

“I was the women’s division. I was the trailblazer. I was the first woman to main event Raw, and I was the first woman to make you people give a c**p about the woman’s division,” the 47-year-old added.

Meanwhile, fans thought otherwise. They reminded the superstar about the deceased Hall of Famer Chyna.

There’s no ambiguity in this answer.

While this fan rejected the claim with a single word.

Chyna, who passed away in 2016, was a pro-wrestler who was ahead of her time. In a short WWE career, the female wrestler would wrestle men and pick up victories, and even win the Intercontinental title. The WWE inducted her into the Hall of Fame in 2019 as part of D-Generation X, a group she formed with Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

Meanwhile, Stratus made some shocking revelations during her promo.

Trish Stratus admits to taking out Lita, screwing Becky Lynch out of her titles

On the 10th April episode of Raw, Becky Lynch and Lita were set to defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. A last-minute kayfabe injury prevented Lita from competing and The Man was partnered by Stratus. The duo lost the belts and soon, Lynch was attacked by Stratus, confirming her heel turn. Now, the WWE Hall of Famer has confirmed that it was all part of her grand scheme.

“I took out Lita. Yeah. And the reason I needed Lita out of the picture is because I needed it to be crystal clear that the person who screwed Becky Lynch out of her titles was me,” she said during her promo.

Stratus also revoked their friendship while declaring she won’t allow “Becky Lynch or any of you rewrite history”.

“I am not a nostalgia act. I am not your childhood fantasy, and I sure as hell am nobody’s side kick,” Stratus added.
