Drew McIntyre is one of the biggest superstars on the Raw Brand. With WWE superstars coming to India, fans got a glimpse to see the Scottish Warrior enthrall his fans at Hyderabad. However, while his performance at the show garnered tremendous applause, it was his pre-interview before the show that was intriguing to WWE fans.

In a candid interview, McIntire stunned the WWE universe as he spoke about his arch-nemesis Gunther’s future, spelling huge trouble for the Intercontinental Champion.

McIntyre and Gunther are no strangers to each other, as they have battled over the prestigious Intercontinental title several times in the past.

The two, along with Sheamus, were involved in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 39, which was awarded a rare 5-star rating from Dave MeltzerThey also clashed at SummerSlam this year in a one-on-one match, with Gunther retaining his title against a gutsy McIntyre.

With several matches under their belt, the 38-year-old now gave his hot take on Gunther. Recently, in an Exclusive by Essentially Sports, McIntyre answered a few questions. During the interview, they mentioned how Gunther claimed he hated McIntyre. To which the superstar replied: “How dare he?” 

But praising him for his victory at SummerSlam, the former world champion, gave his props to the current Intercontinental Champion.

He then added what he felt about Gunther’s future. He said, “The problem I see in his future is, once you’re at the top, and he’s made the Intercontinental title to the top. If he loses it, what comes next? Is he going to go tumbling down or is he going to maintain that momentum?”

Concluding on the topic, he exclaimed, “If you look at my career, there’s a lot of ups and downs. He’s been riding this up for so long. How he handles the downfall when he finally loses the title? It’s gonna test how his future is going to go in WWE.”

This is certainly a bold claim by McIntyre, who has candidly stated his opinion on Gunther. While Gunther is on a roll with recently producing a match-of-the-year candidate with Chad Gable on Raw, it’s hard to deny the impact created by McIntyre.

McIntyre shines brightly in India

During the press conference in India, McIntyre constantly grabbed attention for several statements that he made.

But besides talking about the ‘Ring General’, the star also spoke about Seth Rollins. Addressing his future plans, he expressed his desire to face him and become the World Heavyweight Champion once again.

The noise didn’t end as he then made a surprise appearance during the match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs. Indus Sher, standing tall over the heels, much to the delight of the fans. With a surge in momentum, fans can’t wait to see what’s in store for the Scottish superstar.
