“I Feel Broke…Moné Out”: Just Hours After Losing the IWGP Women’s Title, Sasha Banks Pens Down a Heartfelt Message

The top NJPW star Mercedes Moné has just lost her IWGP championship. The fans were shocked when they saw Mayu Iwatani pinning Moné to win the IWGP women’s title in just 13 minutes.  

Not only this, just a few hours after losing the match, Moné came on Twitter and shared a heartfelt message to her fans.

A few hours after losing the title, Mercedes Moné came on Twitter and posted an emotional message. She expressed her grief after the match with a pinch of sarcasm.

“I feel broke ! But I called my CPA’s and they told me I’m still rich so I will be okay! Until next time…..Moné out”, wrote Mercedes Moné.

Moné won the IGWP women’s championship in February this year by defeating Kairi at the ‘Battle in the Valley’. After her last defense on April 8, Mayu Iwatani challenged her to a championship match at Stardom All star Grand Queendom. 

At the vent, Mercedes Moné lost her title in approximately 13 minutes and it ended her reign at 64 days. After the match, Moné took the mic and appreciated Iwatani calling her the true icon of STARDOM.

Mercedes Moné stepped inside the New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Stardom in January this year. Before that, she was a part of Vince McMahon’s company and her departure was a little controversial.

Mercedes started working in Vince McMahon’s company in 2012. She was popular as Sasha Banks among WWE fans. Banks was a six-time WWE women’s champion and three-time WWE women’s tag team champion.

She left the company while she was still a champion. It was reported that on the May 16, 2022, episode of Monday Night Raw, Banks and her tag team partner Naomi walked out of the building after placing their titles on the desk of John Laurinaitis (Head of talent relations).

It was quite shocking for the fans as Sasha Banks was doing pretty well in the company. Next year, Banks decided to conquer the NJPW as she made her debut in the company with a new ring name Mercedes Moné.

She had an amazing start and when she lost her title just after 64 days, fans were quite shocked. But now when she is not the champion, it would be interesting to see how NJPW books her top star.
