Lesnar and Rhodes had a rocky relationship in 2023. In the aftermath of Mania 39, the two locked horns at Backlash and Night of Champions. The feud wouldn’t end until SummerSlam the same year. During the match’s end, Styles locked Rhodes in a Kimura arm lock. Cole mentioned, “Cody had his arm broken by this move.” This referenced Lesnar, who used the move to break Rhodes’ arm last year. Rhodes wore a sling for a few weeks to show the damage that Lesnar had done. While it was in Kayfabe, it built up The Beast, which was Lesnar. Post-this, Lesnar has not been named or heard from due to his involvement in the Vince McMahon scandal. Meanwhile, fans were hoping that Lesnar would show up tonight. There are still speculations that the WWE plans to bring back The Beast for one last run in the company.
