John Cena made an appearance on SmackDown to deafening cheers from the fans in Fiserv Forum, Wisconsin. But he soon took on a serious tone. The “harsh truth” of not winning a match for 2000+ days is still haunting The GOAT. And in a heartfelt message, he conveyed to the fans that Crown Jewel is a do-or-die situation for him.

If Cena doesn’t win his match against Solo Sikoa, he might well be on his way out.

John Cena knows well that age is not on his side. Yet he wants to change those horrid numbers of not winning a solo match since 2018. The last time Cena won a solo match was against Triple H at the Greatest Royal Rumble.

In an emotional message to the fans, Cena said, “I’m in jeopardy of losing your support, your respect”. He then added that once you lose the fans’ respect, you lose your reason for being in the WWE. Clearly hinting that a loss at Crown Jewel might mean his exit from the company. But he was quick to pump up the crowd by saying, “The time is now to deliver,” implying that he is ready to beat Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel.

But immediately after he said that, Paul Heyman showed up to the ring and fans expected something bad to happen.

‘The Wiseman’ Paul Heyman came and started praising Cena for all his achievements in the WWE. He even said, “I raised my kids more to be like you than to be like me”. But he was quick to bring him down by saying that Cena was not the greatest in the ring anymore.

Heyman then suggested that Cena could have taken on the role of a manager after retirement as he was blessed with the gift of gab. But that will not be the case after Solo Sikoa damages Cena’s vocal chords with the menacing Samoan spike.
