However, his speech was cut short when the WWE World Heavyweight champion came out. Recounting a story, Priest claimed that his time was now and that he would not lose the title. WWE World Tag Team titles match: DIY vs. Awesome Truth

Winner: The Awesome Truth retain their titles

Earning a chance to win the tag title, DIY wasted no time getting started. Despite facing a team they once called friends, everything was left outside the ring. Fans were behind the Awesome Truth, with an explosion as Truth was about to hit the Five Moves of Doom. Unfortunately, he ate a Pedigree from Ciampa, resulting in a close two-count. A Truth Crushing Finale and the Awesome Truth retained in their first title defense.

Backstage segment: Priest scolded McDonagh backstage for interrupting his opening segment with Jey. Dominik Mysterio claimed that he was too banged up to compete tonight, so Santos Escobar will take his place.

In-ring segment: Gunther returned to the WWE ring and began by talking about his 666-day reign as the Intercontinental Champion. He claimed that regardless of his WWE Draft placement, he will continue to exceed expectations. He announced that he would participate in the King of the Ring tournament. Interrupting his speech was The New Day leading to a match.

Imperium vs. The New Day

Winner: The New Day

Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci put down the New Day after restarting their long-standing feud. With Gunther at the announce table, Imperium looked strong at the start. However, Kingston and Woods got the upper hand thanks to their great chemistry. The New Day won the match, much to the former Intercontinental champion’s disappointment.

Post-match: Kaiser and Vinci looked to be exiting the ring at first. However, Kaiser attacked Vinci. After losing to the New Day multiple times, Kaiser seems to have blamed Vinci for the losses.

Backstage segment: After attacking Vinci, it was revealed that Gunther was behind it all.

In-ring segment: Drew McIntyre came to the ring to the crowd chanting ‘CM Punk.’ While talking about participating in the King of the Ring tournament, Sheamus came out. He told McIntyre to stop complaining about what happened. The Scotsman retorted by shaming his weight gain as the internet did over the past week.

Sheamus vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Winner: Sheamus

With McIntyre at ringside, Sheamus took on Nakamura. Sheamus showed great strength against the King of Strong Style in his second match after his return. Despite getting hit on his neck, the Celtic Warrior showed resilience as he dished out some good offense. Despite everything Nakamura threw at the Celtic Warrior, he picked up the win to an applauding McIntyre.

Backstage segment: Sami Zayn talked about what happened with Chad Gable’s heel turn after their match. Bronson Reed came by and issued a challenge for the title. While pretending to leave, he attacked Zayn from the back.

In-ring segment: Coming out to the ring with Alpha Acadamy, Chad Gable explained his actions to the audience. He turned on his own team, making fun of Tazawa, Dupri, and Otis. He asked if they were with him, and they agreed.

Backstage segment: Dominik Mysterio ran into Ricochet, who said he was ready for his match with McDonagh. After that, he saw Liv Morgan in what was a tense moment.

Ricochet and Andrade vs. JD McDonagh and Santos Escobar

Winner: Andrade El Idolo & Ricochet

The match started out with the Babyfaces in control, but Dirty Dom’s distraction turned the tables. McDonagh and Escobar, who showed great chemistry, did not allow Ricochet a tag. After a hot tag to Andrade, the momentum returned to the babyfaces. The heels gained the upper hand, but not for long. After The La Sombra, Ricochet and Andrade picked up the win.

Post-match: Priest came out and laid out both victors.

While all chaos broke out, LeRae and Hartwell were the first out by Dupri as more women kept getting eliminated. Lynch eliminated Piper Niven, only to be pulled by her. The last three left were Morgan, Lynch, and Jax. There was a momentary team-up between Lynch and Morgan to take on Jax. Despite their best effort, Jax was too strong for both women for some time. Nevertheless, the team effort paid off, and Jax was eliminated, leaving Morgan and Lynch. Both women were on the apron as they reached the end of the match. A Man-Handle Slam and Lynch eliminated Morgan.
