As has often been the case over the past few years, The Beast had taken a short break from wrestling after his latest rivalry with Cody Rhodes. The feud between the two ended at SummerSlam with American Nightmare winning in front of a crowd at Ford Field in Detroit.

Brock Lesnar was scheduled to return to the Royal Rumble but, following the allegations involving the Vince McMahon case, he had been kept out of the WWE. But now we have an update on his status in the WWE, as revealed by the COO himself, Triple H.

After tonight’s Night 1 of WrestleMania, Triple H appeared in front of the media for the post-event press conference where he finally gave people an update on the status of Brock Lesnar in the company. And it is good news for fans. HHH revealed that Lesnar is still a part of the WWE. He said, “At one point there was a conversation with Brock about Royal Rumble quite a long time ago. Right now Brock is home. Being Brock and we’ll see where that leads to. You know, from here. But the status is the same as before. Brock is not gone from WWE, He’s just home being Brock.”

Now fans can rejoice in the fact that they might actually get to witness the Beast return soon. But how soon can it be? Will we get to see him at Mania? Well, that’s upon Triple H to decide. But if one thing is for sure, it’s that the COO has been making creative moves which is nothing short of genius. So much so, that while the Rock praised the COO for bringing a new era in professional wrestling, Cody Rhodes revealed that he wants to follow in his footsteps.

Throughout his career, we have seen how on repeated occasions, Cody Rhodes has commented that his favorite wrestler of all time has been Triple H. But during his stay in AEW, he threw several personal hints at him. A clear example was during AEW Double or Nothing, where Cody smashed a throne with a hammer. Years later, ‘The American Nightmare’ confessed that they were moves to get Paul Levesque’s attention. Recently, Cody Rhodes chatted with Ariel Helwani on MMA Hour, where he was asked about various topics. And while talking on one of the several topics, Rhodes opened up about his current relationship with ‘The Game’ where he expressed his admiration for him.

He said, “I’m shocked to say…I guess I’m not shocked to say…I never anticipated when we did the breaking of the throne, I think I said ‘pissant body builder’ at one point in my independent [career], it may have been in an AEW rant, something, all of it rattling the cages, all of it in the spirit of trash talk and sports entertainment, but we take this stuff personally and it gets under our skin.”

He further added, “If I do continue my career in sports entertainment and pro wrestling, I’ve not shared this with anybody, I’ve not even shared this with him, but if I was to continue and it was in a backstage environment, I’d like to kind of perhaps follow in those footsteps. I have a great amount of experience, good and bad, and I can put it to use. We’re not there yet.” It surely looks like the American Nightmare is one of his icons’ path to greatness. But will he be able to cement his own legacy by defeating Roman Reigns tomorrow by defying all odds against him? What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
