Liv Morgan made her much-anticipated return in the last edition of the Royal Rumble. And on the post-WrestleMania 40 episode of RAW, she put something really important on her radar. Namely, the Women’s World Championship.
On the April 15 edition of Monday Night RAW, Rhea Ripley announced that she was vacating the WWE Women’s World Championship due to an acromioclavicular joint (AC) injury sustained following a segment with Liv Morgan the previous week. And from a storyline standpoint, it can be a boon for Morgan. At least according to one pro wrestling legend, who seemingly criticized the WWE star but also believes that it can be an opportunity for her.

In a recent episode of the Busted Open Podcast, Bully Ray talked about Rhea Ripley’s injury as well as the possible storylines that the WWE can build around it. And it was during this discussion that Bully Ray had a suggestion for the WWE. While he criticized Morgan’s in-ring work, he saw the current scenario as an opportunity for her to turn heel. He said, “Liv has a very loyal fan base. Liv is not the greatest wrestler in the world. But you don’t have to be. Liv can now build an entire story, angle, and new aspect of her persona. Going little old me, little old Liv Morgan is the one that took Rhea Ripley out. It’s so simple and I think they will take advantage of it.”

And the WWE is surely thinking the same. As they are already creating a storyline around it. On RAW, Ripley had to vacate her title while revealing that she needed several months off to recover. During the segment, the Judgment Day member blamed the incident on Morgan, given the backstage assault she suffered last week. The perpetrator of the incident then approached the ring, but security intervened to prevent a confrontation between the two. But while Morgan is being blamed in the ring, what does the locker room think of the incident backstage?
The locker room’s reaction to the incident
According to Fightful Select, Liv Morgan has not received any criticism or any kind of antipathy due to Rhea Ripley’s injury. The WWE locker room understood that the injury wasn’t intentional and it all came about because of a professional segment for the show. The report also mentioned that there is no criticism towards Liv Morgan for Ripley’s injury. It simply happened when she hit the wall last week.
