Despite serving a good amount of time in WWE, there were things that did not contend Paige. Over time, the female wrestler has listed a number of ways AEW feels better for her. Even recently, she couldn’t stop herself from appreciating Tony Khan and his promotion. During the process, Saraya even threw shade at her former employer WWE without name-dropping the Stamford-based company.

This happened when the wrestler was sitting at the post-event media scrum following AEW ‘All In’. While talking to the press, she revealed how Khan’s sweet actions made her family tear up. However, despite years of allegiance to WWE, the company hesitated in pulling off the same gesture.

Saraya fought her way through a four-way match at AEW ‘All In’ the past weekend. She became the new AEW Women’s Champion after her victory. Celebrating this moment, she even had her family present at Wembley Stadium, in London. According to the wrestler, this was a special moment that Tony Khan had granted her and something she had never received in the past.

While talking to the press, she revealed that until the movie Fighting With My Family was released, previously she was given the chance to acknowledge her family on-screen. The case was completely opposite with AEW.

They were never given the opportunity in the past to be showcased. They were never acknowledged, and I wasn’t allowed to acknowledge them until the movie came out, and then I was allowed to. Tony didn’t even question it. He was like, ‘let’s f**king go, yeah. We can have your family.’ They appreciated it so much,” recalled Saraya.

Even though Ricky Knight, Saraya’s father, doesn’t cry often, the special treatment made him tear up. “He was crying his eyes out in the ring. It was such a special moment to be around my family. They loved every single second of it,” added the wrestler.

The support that Saraya has received from the AEW’s management has also made her loyal to the promotion. Whenever the opportunity has allowed her, the wrestler has stood up for the wrestling company. This one time, when a wrestling fan was targeting AEW online for normalizing violence against women, the 31-year-old made sure no misinterpretation regarding the company was spread.

Consequently, she called out the fans for spreading rumors and ‘not understanding’ wrestling. Saraya defended her promotion by saying that whatever happens in kayfabe is not related to any political message and if a fan doesn’t understand that, then wrestling isn’t for them.
