The latest DC movie, League of Super Pets, is receiving positive reviews from the audience. Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Keanu Reeves, and the other co-actors have done a fantastic job of voicing the characters in the film.

One of the most important factors that is noticeable in this movie is that DC introduced fun and family-friendly content. We normally know DC for showing edgier and dark content in movies. However, with this movie, Johnson has two DC projects this year with two completely distinct characters.

Recently, Hiram Garcia, who is the President of Production at Seven Bucks Production, sat for an interview with The Wrap. He shared about the two different genre DC movies Dwayne Johnson and Seven Bucks is part of this year. The movies are DC League of Super Pets and Black Adam.

Garcia said, “[‘Super-Pets’ is] such a fun world. We were obviously deep into ‘Black Adam’ and we were telling a story there that was really edgy and dark and catering to a whole side of the DC Universe we love, but here was his opportunity now to tell an entire other kind of story that was family oriented, that was great for kids.”

He added, “That was a four-quadrant deep cut in the comic book world where you’re getting into characters that have been around for a long time, but maybe not as many people know about them.”

The film is based on the Legion of Super-Pets, a team of super-powered pets that made their comics debut all the way back in 1962. Furthermore, by featuring family-friendly content in this movie, DC got a chance to grab a broader audience.

Black Adam was one of his dream projects for Dwayne Johnson. The movie will release in the last quarter of this year. However, with the addition of League of Super Pets, Johnson played a family-friendly character. Moreover, as Black Adam, he will portray a dark character in DCEU.

After the release of the Black Adam trailer, the excitement of the DC fans is enough to claim the movie is going to be a massive hit. However, it is safe to say after the positive reviews for League of Super Pets, The Rock has successfully played a good and a bad guy in DCEU.

Portraying the ‘Protector of Khandaq’ in Black Adam, the former WWE star will serve the die-hard DC fans with the dark genre.
