During the WWE Evil series produced by Peacock TV and the company, special counsel Paul Heyman stated it was meant for him to be with The Tribal Chief.

Paul Heyman added, “Two of the people that looked after me from the beginning were Roman’s uncle Afa and Roman’s father, Sika. So I’ve been with Roman’s family before Roman was with Roman’s family.”

According to Heyman, he always wanted to manage Reigns in the WWE. That was because Reigns came from the Samoan Anoa’i family. During Heyman’s early days in pro wrestling, Roman’s father and uncle took him under his wing and stayed by his side.
