In a bizarre twist of events, Taylor Swift is now a part of the WWE Universe. While the pop star has not appeared in the ring yet, the promotion’s stars have mentioned her quite a few times inside and outside of WWE. It all started with Grayson Waller as he made controversial remarks about the singer. While fans thought they might not hear her name again, we saw Swift up close and personal with former WWE United States champion, Baron Corbin.

Baron Corbin and Taylor Swift share the same fandom

While the two stars are completely unrelated, both Swift and Corbin have one thing in common: their love for the Kansas City Chiefs. The two were present at the recent Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills. In a photo shared by Baron Corbin on his X (formerly Twitter), we could see the two clicking a selfie with some of their friends. Swift was there to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. Corbin was there to support the Chiefs as he hails from Lenexa, Kansas.

The Constable of Raw happened to have a career as a football player before he made his way to WWE. He debuted at WWE NXT back in 2012, where he stayed with the black and gold brand for almost four years. In 2016, he made his main roster debut at WrestleMania 32 and then swiftly made his presence known at Monday Night Raw. From there, he quickly rose to fame as he became part of the SmackDown roster later in the same year. He won many championships during that time, including the Money in the Bank honor, United States Championship, Intercontinental Championship, and others.

In 2018, he moved back to Raw where he donned the role of the Constable of the brand under the command of Stephanie McMahon. In 2023, the WWE announced that he is one of the many stars who are now free agents. As a result, he now plies his trade at NXT due to his feud with Ilja Dragunov.

As mentioned earlier, Swift has been referenced on multiple occasions in WWE making her an unofficial part of it. However, there might come a day when fans might get to see her at WWE.

Will the pop sensation grace the WWE with her presence in the future?

The answer to this question would be a ‘maybe.’ Grayson Waller had challenged Swift’s boyfriend Kelce to a one-on-one fight. But a lot had happened before to lead to this. Waller, who had posted a viral picture with Kelce’s mother, was asked to comment on their relationship. On an episode of WWE’s The Bump back in October, the host asked him what he thinks of their relationship. To this, The Arrogant Aussie replied that even though he was happy for Kelce, he feels pity for him. The reason he said is that she is a “6” and is apparently way below his league.

This made her fans rally to Waller’s X DMs trying to confront him for his remarks. To this, the 33-year-old star made an apology video, which was nothing but another attack on the Swifties. Just when the dust began to settle, Waller challenged Kelce to a match on another episode of WWE’s talk show, The Bump. There, he mentioned that he was aware of Kelce’s love for pro wrestling and asked why he doesn’t come down to Philadelphia on the night of WrestleMania 40. Waller wants Kelce to “defend her honor” by beating him. What do you think of this unlikely crossover between WWE and Taylor Swift?

One take at a time

For me pro wrestling has two things that I like the most, storytelling and fighting. Let?s just say movies are failing to keep me entertained in those departments. I grew up watching WWF and not WWE and any hardcore fan will agree that the two are not the same, but I love both iterations.
