American football has etched its status as the most beloved sport in the hearts of its people. WWE stars are no exception to it. Hailing from Davenport, Iowa, Seth Rollins always had a love-hate relationship with the NFL team Chicago Bears. After commenting on football following the Bears’ defeat this Sunday, the 37-year-old star faced heavy trolling on the internet. However, his wife Becky Lynch made it clear that she is with him and she won’t let her husband get trolled.

Becky Lynch comes to Seth Rollins’s rescue

After the Chicago Bears faced another defeat against the Kansas City Chiefs, The Visionary was disappointed in his favorite team once again. This made him go on social media and share his annoyance with the game itself. He tweeted “I hate football.” Moments after he posted the tweet, thousands of fans came in to troll the star. This was followed by a post by WWE on Fox’s Instagram account. They posted an image of Rollins’ tweet with the caption, “Someone hug @WWERollins!”. Becky Lynch immediately commented on the post implying she won’t let her husband get trolled.

She commented, “ He is not accepting hugs at this difficult time.”. It was followed by, “ Please respect his privacy”, implying that she is standing tall with her husband. Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins have been a power couple at WWE. They both started dating in 2019. After welcoming a daughter in December 2020, both decided to tie the knot in June 2021. Although Lynch has admitted that Rollins is not her first love, the couple has still been inseparable.

Seth Rollins’ love-hate relationship with the Bears

This is not the first time Rollins has openly declared his hate for football. Something similar happened in the last season as well. When the Chicago Bears lost to the Green Bay Packers, the WWE star was not able to contain his anger. He went on social media to express his disapproval of the game. He tweeted, “ Bears stink. Refs stink. I hate football.” This time he made sure to take shots at the referees as well.

At the week 3 game held at Arrowhead Stadium home to the Kansas City Chiefs, the team won against the Chicago Bears by a score of 41-10. With this, the Chiefs are at 2 wins and 1 loss while the Bears are at 3 losses and zero wins. While his ongoing rivalry with Shinsuke Nakamura mostly revolves around Rollins’ injured back, it feels like the Chicago Bears will break his back before Nakamura can.
