RARE: Triple H Forgets Rivalry to Legitimately Beat Up a Real WWE Fan

Triple H has had great rivalries with various WWE legends over the years. A larger part of the Attitude Era prospered with some of WWE’s greatest talents, such as The Undertaker, Kane, Steve Austin, Triple H, and The Rock. During that era, fans got to see many iconic rivalries such as The Rock vs Stone Cold and The Undertaker vs Kane.
One such iconic rivalry was between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H. Austin and Hunter put in their best work during that most illustrious era and added a legendary chapter in WWE history.
But despite the fieriness of the rivalry, Austin and Helmsley never absorbed it on a personal level. Their feud elevated the profits of the company and helped them develop their careers. Also, the two remained on friendly terms and still are. There was a rare incident in a WWE live event, where Triple H saved Steve Austin from a fan’s attack. Here is the footage.

Triple H Assaulting a Fan Who Tried to Attack Steve Austin
Triple H vs Stone Cold Steve Austin was a thriller that every WWE fan wanted to see more of. Their storylines were always fitting. Also, they got the chance to beat the hell out of each other and team up for tag matches as well. However, this particular incident happened in 1998 at a WWE Live house show in Berlin, Germany.

‘The Texas Rattlesnake’ was the babyface there with a huge fandom but also had a few haters. Just when Austin won the game with the three-count, one fan entered the ring rushing to attack him. ‘The Game,’ who was his opponent, immediately pulled the fan away and effortlessly slammed him to the mat. Subsequently, security guards came in and took away the fan from the arena.
Steve Austin Recollecting The Incident
Even though many criticized the action of the WWE legend for going all-in beating up a fan, Steve Austin defended him for protecting his colleague and opponent without a second thought. In 2019, Austin shared the video footage via his social media to tell the story.
Further, he reflected on this incident in an episode of the Steve Austin Show. “I was wrestling Triple H, and Chyna was ringside, and after I stun Chyna and get the 1, 2, 3 on Triple H, a fan hits the ring and tries to attack me,” the WWE Hall of Famer said.

Moreover, Stone Cold said that ‘The Cerebral Assassin’ had his eyes open just like a shark laying there. I thought the fan was one of the boys. Because way back in the day after a match, after a house show, we’d come out from the back and jump in there and take guys finishers as a rib! This wasn’t a rib. it was a fan who was at ringside who happened to be a Triple H and Chyna fan and was not very happy that Stone Cold Steve Austin had given him a Stunner and got the three count,” Steve Austin added.
