REPORTS: After Series of Bad Bookings, WWE Offers Bad Contracts to Retribution Members
Retribution is a group that hates WWE for sidelining them in their developmental stage. When the company told the members they didn’t have a place for them, Mustafa Ali rallied this band of rebels to take revenge on the company.
While this may just be their gimmicks in WWE, all members may now have a genuine reason to hate the company. Apparently, they have been forced to take a pay cut in recent weeks.

According to a report from Fightul Select, “the WWE offered each member of Retribution (except Mustafa Ali who is under a different contract) $250,000 a year last fall for a three-year commitment.”
While this figure may sound high, it is actually rumored to be lesser than the figure that most other talents are offered. These talents are more or less at the same level as Retribution.
Furthermore, talents were given the option to renegotiate their contracts with the concerned authorities but it is unknown whether Retribution members were offered the same deal.
Mustafa Ali, the leader, is under a separate contract but the other members are stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to their legal work.
Retribution has not been what fans expected
Retribution has been a shadow of what fans once expected for the faction. As a rag-tag response to the low Raw ratings, the group seems like it was thrown together with no apparent direction.

When Mustafa Ali was revealed as the leader, fans had huge hope for the group. However, poor side story booking and a lack of impact in any promo made fans lose interest in the group.
Everything WWE Did Wrong With Mustafa Ali as the Retribution Leader
Apart from Mustafa Ali, none of the other members are coming out good yet. As a heel faction, Retribution should have been booked as the main story just like The Nexus was back in 2011.

Mustafa Ali’s group, however, falls short of the notoriety of Wade Barrett’s Nexus and the faction now fights on Raw with Ricochet. Unless WWE has a big-picture plan for the faction, it’s safe to assume that soon the members will have a legitimate problem with the company.
