“No One to Blame but Me”- Mustafa Ali Issues a Heart Wrenching Statement for Missing WrestleMania 37
Mustafa Ali fought through a dying storyline in Retribution and managed to bring some sort of life into the exhausted concept of the rebellious faction. However, it seems as if that angle has crashed and burned, leaving Mustafa right back where he started.
With the biggest show of the year approaching, a lot of big names, namely Bayley, have been left out of the card. However, a number of deserving talent has also been overlooked for WrestleMania 37 this year, one of them being Mustafa Ali.
In a recent post on Twitter, the former leader of Retribution expressed his angst at being omitted yet again from the grandest stage of them all despite his hard work and resilience in the face of criticism.

As you can see, Ali is pretty annoyed by this and a lot of fans probably would have wanted to see his talent showcased at WrestleMania. However, the company decided to move other ways while structuring the match card.
Mustafa Ali and Retribution were poorly booked on Raw
Retribution was one of the most stagnant storylines on Raw, put together as a desperate attempt to save viewership last year when the red brand had reached an all-time low. Ali was placed in charge of this faction that lost its focus along the way.

Poor booking made Retribution fall blatantly short of its imagined aim, which was to take on WWE itself. Fans imagined a Nexus 2.0 in the making but were severely disappointed by the way things turned out.
WWE probably didn’t want this unpopular angle to have anything to do with the star show, which is why Mustafa Ali was probably left out. However, this is just another example of how WWE is wasting his talent.

Mustafa, Aleister Black, Angel Garza, and Ricochet are amongst the most deserving candidates to emerge into the spotlight but poor booking has left them dead in the water for months. WWE has decided to bank on established talent at least through the lockdown, but that has left a lot of potential untapped.
WWE fans wouldn’t have minded dropping Bad Bunny vs The Miz to see any of the names listed above performing at WrestleMania 37. Ali himself fought through the pain of a bad knee to deliver every week, and his omission from the match card is truly unjustified and frankly unfair.
