WWE superstar Big E has been sidelined with a horrific neck injury that he suffered last year. There has not been any confirmation whether he will return to competitive action. And now, The New Day member might have given a clue concerning his future with the Stamford-based promotion.

It has been more than a year since he stepped into the squared circle. And it’s fair to say that many have missed the former WWE Champion during his extended absence. There might be more bad news on the cards for those fans, as he has recently commented on his current predicament.

Big E talks about his future in WWE

Big E appeared on the Busted Open podcast and talked about a plethora of topics. Among them was his involvement in the WWE NIL program which involves tryouts for youngsters. The former Intercontinental champion said, “I love those stories and I love being able to help people who are trying to figure it out. Realize a new dream or a new path so that’s the thing I love is I think in our company.”

On his future with the wrestling juggernaut, he said, “I think there are other ways the great thing about WWE there are other ways to add value if you can’t continue to wrestle. So, for me, I definitely wanna be busy if I can’t indeed wrestle again.”

The heavyweight performer was on the receiving end of an awry belly-to-belly suplex from Ridge Holland on an episode of SmackDown last March. He suffered from a career-threatening injury that has kept him away from wrestling since.

The timing of the setback couldn’t have been worse as Big E stars were on a rise in WWE. It hasn’t been long before he gave another disappointing update on his condition.

Big E provided an update on his condition recently

The former WWE champion said earlier this month that he would be okay with any outcome to his career in the company.

He seemed to have accepted his fate whatever may be the eventual result. Despite the seriousness of the issue, Big E preferred to not have any surgery on his neck.

He is supposed to have scans soon upon which the picture will be much clear on his status.

In the last few years, Big E has emerged as a top star in WWE and it will be a shame to see such a promising career end prematurely. Fans would be hoping to receive some positive news when he does undergo his planned scans.
