Survivor Series’ first elimination was probably the weirdest elimination of all time. The Friday Night Messiah, Seth Rollins, looked laser focused on winning tonight, but instead of fighting, he sacrificed himself ‘for the greater good’.

Seth Rollins looked visibly distraught after his devastating loss to Murphy on SmackDown. His former disciple aligned with his girlfriend, Aalyah, and the Mysterio family. The loss seemed to have a very deep impact on the Messiah.

Rollins looked dazed, but also focused on the match. He asked Kevin Owens for a tag, which he eventually got. Owens looked reluctant to tag him in, even hesitating a little.

Rollins stepped into the ring, turned around and said, “for the greater good,” before kneeling and offering himself to Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior took full advantage of the lunacy before him and blasted Rollins with the Brogue Kick.

Raw destroyed SmackDown with a clean sweep

Rollins’ elimination ended up being the beginning of the end for Team SmackDown. Kevin Owens fought valiantly, but was taken out by a Phenomenal Forearm by AJ Styles.

King Corbin looked to put away AJ Styles, but his former rival Matt Riddle took revenge for last year’s Survivor Series by eliminating him. He hit a picture perfect Floating Bro to pin the King of the Ring.

Otis and Jey Uso fought with all their heart and all their soul. However, it was not enough to give the win to SmackDown. They were put away by Braun Strowman and Keith Lee, respectively.

Seth Rollins is suffering the impact of his loss to Murphy

The clean sweep victory for Raw is extremely embarrassing for SmackDown. The major reason for the humiliation is the Friday Night Messiah. His elimination was outright bizarre and made no sense at all.

Seth should have come out of the gates flying, showing some of his intense heel antics. The loss to Murphy should’ve awoken the Beastslayer inside Rollins. Instead, what we saw was pure idiocy and the execution of his loony ‘vision’.

Seth’s elimination is a smart way to write him off television. Becky Lynch is in her final stages of pregnancy, and Rollins might want to step away from the ring for a while.

However, this was absolutely not the right way to write off Seth Rollins. He deserved better, after putting over Rey and Dominik Mysterio, and even his former disciple Murphy. We hope Seth bounces back from this embarrassment as soon as possible, before the damage becomes too great to recover.
