Stone Cold Steve Austin has officially confirmed his return rumors. Austin will return to WrestleMania 38 to confront Kevin Owens. This comes as a direct result of Owens calling out Austin on Monday Night Raw. Fans went ballistic when Austin responded to Owens’ challenge and announced his return. It seems like former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho agrees that this will be a great interaction.

Chris Jericho is a former WWE Superstar who is now working in AEW. He has been a World Champion in both promotions and is a legend in the industry. While Chris is a part of AEW, he still often comments on the current WWE product.

The former 6-time World Champion recently appeared on The Kurt Angle Show where he discussed the rumors regarding Kevin Owens having a fight with Steve Austin. Chris said that there can be no better opponent for Steve than Kevin Owens. Chris said.

“He’s the best guy for the job. He’s one of the only guys to do the job. Because, first of all, if Steve does come back, he’s gonna look like a killer.” 

Chris further said that Stone Cold Steve Austin will come back in incredible shape and would look for a great opponent. Jericho described his conversations with Steve Austin.

“So if Steve comes in the best guy for the job is Kevin Owens because a Kevin will be able to sell it on the mic, you can go toe to toe with Steve. He’s got a comedy element to him that Steve has as well and will probably really have if it goes back because he can really use that to his advantage was Kevin will sell perfectly.”

He says Austin always said that the amount of training it requires to go back, he would not want to do just one match.

Can anyone else face Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38?

Chris Jericho said that it makes no sense for Steve Austin to face anyone else on the current WWE roster. He thinks that Brock Lesnar will not match up well with the Style of Steve Austin. Moreover, it will not work if Stone Cold faces Goldberg either, as both of them are from the same generation.
