Dwayne Johnson has risen from being a WWE star to a worldwide recognized brand. During this time, he has tried his hands at various ventures and found success as an actor and businessman.

But even the Great One has had to deal with failures every now and then. One only has to look at the previous year 2022, to know that the Hollywood actor had his ups and downs in a rollercoaster of a year.

With that in mind, The Rock posted a motivational message for his fans on his Instagram. The Brahma Bull encouraged people to take risks and not be afraid of failure. DJ usually posts such messages on his social media and once again tried to inspire his followers as the new year kicks in.

Dwayne Johnson says people should have the guts to fail

Since his WWE days, The Rock has been through a lot to get to the pinnacle of sports entertainment. His initial WWE run saw him hear cruel chants like “die Rocky die”, but instead of buckling under pressure, he completely transformed himself.

The Rock became a first ballot Hall of Famer in no time. He traversed the same path for his Hollywood career. His early acting career was littered with hits and misses. But again, he wasn’t afraid to fail and took on more challenging projects.

In the video, DJ posted, he talked about his friend Inky Johnson telling him about having the guts to fail being more important than the desire to be famous.

The former WWE Champion said that this is something he has followed in his life and it has allowed him to “take big swings”. He also said he failed at some decisions but also succeed in some and he would always take “guts over desire.”

He added, “Look I’m f*cking tyrannosaurus rex, I’m 58,000 years old. But I still have that and that’s my lead foot. And that leads my decisions. That allows me to take big swings, get my a** kicked on some of them, failed at some of them. But also succeed at some of them.” Indeed, it is this trait that has allowed The Rock to be successful in his career wherever he has gone.

Apart from being a draw at the box office, $800 million worth Dwayne Johnson runs profitable businesses. His Teremana tequila brand, ZOA energy drink, and clothing line are some of his successful ventures. Like his WWE and acting career, he has had a few hits and misses.

But he has kept going, staying true to the mantra of not being afraid to fail. This has led him to build a massive business empire and expand his global reach.
