“That’s True”- One Half of the Legendary Dudley Boyz Opens Up on the Alleged Rivalry Between the 9-Times WWE Tag Team Champions

WWE is one of the biggest wrestling promotions in the entire world. And over the years, it has earned the respect of being one of the most well-known wrestling companies. WWE has been instrumental in creating several legendary superstars, be it solo or tag-team.

Over the years, the company has witnessed several legendary tag teams. However, out of all of them, one tag team had reached a status, that many current teams only aspire to. Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley’s ‘The Dudley Boyz’ are one of the most popular tag teams.

The Dudley Boyz are known for their outspoken nature, their rebellious actions, and impressive in-ring talent. Over the years, the duo has achieved multiple records and championships. However, rumors of rifts between the two tag-team partners arose a few years ago.

Recently, Bubba Ray sat down with Chris Van Vliet and discussed his time with WWE, and the rumors of rifts with his former tag-team partner, D-Von Dudley.

What did Bubba Ray say about his rifts with Devon Dudley?

Bubba Ray sat down with Vliet and spoke about his animosity with D-Von Dudley. He cleared all the air about his alleged rivalry with his former tag-team partner and stated that everything is fine between the two of them.

He claimed that when he did not resign from the contract with WWE, The Dudley Boyz separated. He said, “That’s true though. Didn’t cause the divide. I told Vince, can’t do the Dudley thing anymore. I can’t do this Dudley thing, the way you want to do it.”

Dudley further claimed that Vince McMahon wanted him put over the then upcoming tag-teams. However, after doing that for a bit, Bubba Ray was done with it, and wanted to move on. He would not continue his contract with WWE. And it would lead to the separation of the duo.

However, D-Von Dudley would continue his contract with WWE, and become a producer there. However, he soon made his exit from the company as a producer.

The Dudley Boyz enjoyed an illustrious run during their time at the company and won the tag-team titles for 9-times. They have their names etched into history books, as one of the greatest tag teams. Their rumors of rivalry caused disdain among their fans. However, as soon as Bubba Ray Dudley cleared the air, their fans again became happy.
