This Monday Night RAW started off with a blast. Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens stood their ground against The Judgment Day. Despite the numbers evening out, the faction could not showcase their dominance. Unfortunately, the victim in all of this was Damian Priest.

During the opening brawl, Priest was left alone in the ring with Rhodes and Co. This led to him being brutally assaulted by the four men. With a dismal start to his night, Priest took his anger out on a fellow wrestler.

JD McDonagh has been trying really hard to get into The Judgment Day. This episode of RAW was no different. As The Judgment Day was backing away from confronting Rhodes, Jey, Zayn, and Owens, McDonagh came out. With two steel chairs in hand, he encouraged Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio to take the fight. Despite Priest warning them not to.

However, none of the members listened as the three charged towards the ring. This resulted in the numbers game being in favor of Rhodes and Co. Despite his best interest, Priest went in to save his fellow teammates but ended up being the sole member left in the ring. What followed was a brutal and humiliating beatdown on Priest.

After it was all done, Priest confronted McDonagh backstage. An enraged Priest said, “You’re not in The Judgment Day. You’re not going to be in The Judgment Day. I just took a beating because of you.” This was followed by something Priest said in his native Spanish tongue. He ended it with a stern, “Get Out!” This left Balor and Mysterio shocked, who later tried to calm down Priest.

Although he intended to help the group, McDonagh is the reason for Priest’s beatdown. Priest has always been the voice of reason for The Judgment Day. He has always kept things in order.

McDonagh ties to help out again in the main event

If this episode of RAW taught us anything, it is that McDonagh really wants to be a member of The Judgment Day. Despite Priest’s blowup, he still helped him during the Main Event. With Zayn and Owens leading in the match, McDonagh was the key for them to pick up the victory.

McDonagh has proved loyal to the stable, but Priest still believes he’s a liability. Dominik was the last member to join, and now the group wants Jey. Only time will tell if McDonagh gets the chance he’s been looking for.
