The WrestleMania 40 Kickoff show came to an end with a bang. As the closing moments came near, fans witnessed Dwayne Johnson dishing out a major slap to Cody Rhodes’ face. The entire segment became extremely heated, with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins getting involved as well.

However, as the kickoff show concluded, CM Punk would continue his jabs against Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. As The Second City Saint continued his jibes against The Brahma Bull, he received a cold staredown from the stage.

CM Punk has always been described as The Voice of the Voiceless, and similarly so, he again proved why. After The Rock landed a hard slap on Rhodes’ face, Punk came into his defense. Sitting alongside Pat McAfee, Michael Cole, and Big E, CM Punk had a lot to say. The former WWE Champion said, “Cody is way too diplomatic. Somebody slaps you, you gotta bust them right back in the mouth. That’s what I would have done.” 

He further continued, “I wanna see Cody punch Rock right in the face…. I feel like it needs to happen. Listen, Like I said, Rock did not throw me over the top rope in the Royal Rumble. Cody won the Royal Rumble. It is his shot to call.”
