WrestleMania is every star’s dream. Being a part of the main event of the show and performing in front of the fans for coveted titles is what makes WrestleMania so great. While Sasha Banks had her opportunity to headline WrestleMania 37, her old friend from WWE never got to do so. In an interview, Banks’ former tag team partner Bayley opened up about how she wants to stand in the center of the stage and perform at the Show of Shows this year.

Sasha Banks’ old friend wants to main event WrestleMania 40

In an interview with the NY Post, Bayley talked about her career goals for 2024. In the interview, she said, “Winning the Rumble — would be very, very, very cool & I would get my first singles WrestleMania match ever.” She further added how it is the dream of every wrestler to get a singles championship match at WrestleMania.

She stated, “Getting a singles match for a Championship is every wrestler’s dream at WrestleMania, so I’ve gotta do it. This is my year.”  The leader of Damage CTRL looks optimistic about being at the main event of the show. Bayley also talked about how getting different types of WrestleMania matches over the years has been like a dream come true. However, she never got a chance to be a part of a singles championship match

She stated that considering “the short lineage” of Royal Rumbles, she wants to be one of the first 10 people who win the PLE.  The Royal Rumble for the women’s division started back in 2018, unlike the Men’s Royal Rumble that started in 1988. Up until now, there have been only six women’s Royal Rumble matches.

While Bayley wishes to secure a chance to go against a champion at WrestleMania 40, the chances of that happening are very likely.

Will Bayley become the next Women’s Champion?

Since the 2023 Crown Jewel, fans have been noticing the visible cracks appearing in the Damage CTRL. The stable that had only Bayley, Iyo Sky, and Dakota Kai in the beginning, now has Kairi Sane and Asuka as its latest joiners. Since then, fans have noticed that the other members have been sidelining Bayley.

It is also noticeable that Sky has been pushing Bayley away, even though the latter has always vouched for her. Ahead of the Rumble, the chances of Bayley snapping and stating that she will dethrone Sky at WrestleMania 40 could be a possibility. However, before she does so, she’ll have to defeat Bianca Belair and many other stars at the Rumble who have been eyeing Sky’s title. Do you think Sasha Banks will be seen at Royal Rumble to support Bayley just like she did recently? What do you think about Bayley’s chances of main eventing and winning at WrestleMania?

One take at a time

For me pro wrestling has two things that I like the most, storytelling and fighting. Let?s just say movies are failing to keep me entertained in those departments. I grew up watching WWF and not WWE and any hardcore fan will agree that the two are not the same, but I love both iterations.
