Sasha Banks aka Mercedes Mone has been the talk of the town lately. Currently, the pro wrestling community has been discussing the rumors of where she would head next after her NJPW contract expires in 2024. The rumors of her possible debut at Tony Khan-owned AEW have been running wild. However, amidst all these rumors, she was recently spotted at TNA’s biggest annual pay-per-view event, Hard to Kill. While Banks visited TNA, she made sure to meet a few of her old friends from WWE.

Who did Sasha Banks meet?

The former WWE star posted a photo on her Instagram stories in which she could be seen posing with Ashley Sabara, a.k.a. Dana Brooke. She wrote in a caption, “@ashamae_sebera, Elegants and Grace.” Brooke had a decade-long career with WWE. She joined the promotion back in 2013 and was with WWE up until 2023. During this period she also had the opportunity to be the now-defunct 15-time WWE 24/7 Champion.

However, the most memorable moment from her WWE career was her pairing with Sasha Banks. Just weeks after her in-ring debut in July 2013, Brooke was seen teaming up with The Boss in a tag team match against Bayley and Alexa Bliss. However, the duo were laid waste by the now Damage CTRL leader.

Brooke was also a part of many backstage comedic moments during 2022-2023 with Tamina, Reggie, and Akira Tozawa. However, the former champion’s run at WWE came to an end when she was released in September 2023 along with many other stars as a part of ‘budget cuts’. She made her TNA debut on the latest PPV under a new ring name, Ash by Elegance.

While Banks did meet with her old tag team partner, she was spotted in the stands with an old friend of hers from WWE as they both cheered on another former WWE star.

Sasha Banks caught up with another old friend

The reason for Sasha Banks’s appearance on TNA was pretty straightforward. She was there to cheer an old friend from WWE defending her TNA title at the event. Trinity, who used to go by the name Naomi in WWE is a dominant champion at TNA. Naomi had accompanied Banks when the latter decided to storm out of the promotion over creative differences. Since her debut at TNA in April 2023, she got her hands on the TNA Knockouts Women’s World Title.

While her bid to defend those titles was unsuccessful, Banks was there to cheer her along with another friend from WWE, Bayley. Fans are aware that the leader of the Damage CTRL has been friends with the 31-year-old star since their NXT days and their real life friendship is very strong.
