After the end of WrestleMania 39, a piece of news came to the surface that revealed the sale of WWE. As per reports earlier, the company’s sale was one major reason behind the return of Vince McMahon. But no one anticipated for this day to come so soon. Not even a WWE Hall of Famer.

When it was reported the Endeavor Group, who own UFC, is buying the Stamford-based promotion, everyone along with Conor McGregor reacted to it. Soon, more clarity came on this matter. It was reported that both the biggest names in wrestling and entertainment have joined hands and signed a merger. The deal united two companies and caps a months-long sale process for WWE. After this, Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel will take ownership of the latter. Former WCW authority figure Eric Bischoff was stunned by this development as well.

In response, he said, “It has in and I guess that’s what surprises me so much. I was thoroughly convinced that at the end of the day, I really thought that Vince would make a move to take the company private, that was going to be the play.

“That I predicted really, but to sell the company, it still surprising me to this day. I just never would have, I never would have bet on that,” the 67-year-old added.

These words by Bischoff indicate his disapproval of the decision. He thought that the Stamford-based company would go private, but an entirely different thing happened. However, he didn’t stop there but continued to shed light on the workings of the company after the merger.

When asked if WWE would be any different after the merger or not, Bischoff gave a practical answer. At first, he mentioned that there will definitely be changes, however, according to him, no such changes would be visible over the next six months or a year.

Bischoff also mentioned that along this way, they can make some management announcements, but any cultural impact of the merger wouldn’t be noticeable for at least a year. So, it could mean to see any change; fans have to wait for some time.
