Without Vince McMahon, it is impossible to imagine how the pro wrestling industry would have developed. Taking over the company from his father, the billionaire businessman has completely revolutionized it. Meanwhile, after his exit, Triple H alongside Stephanie McMahon is also doing the same and leading the organization to new heights, following in his father-in-law’s footsteps.

However, before that, HHH also worked under Mr. McMahon and was a significant part of the business. Notably, once on The Ringer podcast, Hunter explained how working with McMahon was challenging because of his personal relationship with him.

During his appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast in 2020, the Chief Content Officer of WWE delved into the specifics and provided a wealth of business knowledge. He talked about how working with McMahon had impacted his professional career.

He stated, “I would imagine our relationship as unique. If you ever read any books on it or anything, family business is difficult. You don’t walk away from it. You don’t leave the office or hang up the phone or leave the table and just be done with it. It’s 24/7 and it affects everything.”

HHH believes that managing the family business is both incredibly lovely and difficult. Given that McMahon is his father-in-law, and that they were handling the business together, it was difficult for them to conduct themselves professionally because of their bond outside work.

“Our passion about doing this and growing it for the next generation, whether that be my kids or anybody else, you just want it to continue and we’re all hell-bent on doing that. So, while it’s difficult, you’re all working for the same cause and you know that.”
