The 43-year-old entered the world of pro wrestling as an outsider after being a reality TV star. While he joined the WWE to live his dream of being a pro wrestler, things were anything but a dream for him. In fact, he was bullied by big names in WWE like JBL and Chris Benoit. Here are two instances of what it was like to be in the shoes of The Miz before he made it big.

According to JBL, “Did I haze The Miz? Hell yes! A lot of people want to talk about me and my hazing. Yes, I did. I make no apologies about it whatsoever.” He said that back in his day, this was the norm and it actually helped the newcomers. JBL also added that while he did haze The Miz, he also gave him loads of advice.

JBL claimed that he saw great heel potential in Miz and only wanted good things for him. While JBL may have helped Miz, banishing a wrestler from the locker room seems like a very expensive tuition fee. JBL wasn’t the only person to force The Miz out of the locker room. In fact, Chris Benoit blamed him for something absurd and asked him to leave as well.
The wild accusation of soiling Chris Benoit’s bag with food
The Miz has described his unwanted and unpleasant encounter with late WWE wrestler Chris Benoit on quite a few occasions. The A-lister WWE Superstar was once snacking on some chicken in the locker room and was minding his own business. However, Benoit entered the locker room and accused Miz of dropping food crumbs on his bag.
Speaking about this issue, The Miz had once said, “He goes, dude, you just got stuff all over my bag. I go, I still don’t think I got stuff on his bag, but I was in, I was, I’m sorry, I apologize. Another person walked in. Oh, you got stuff in his bag. How could you do that?” The Miz initially thought that Benoit and the other guy (Scott Armstrong) were joking.
I’m not gonna lie. If I was The Miz I’d never let people forget how I was treated when I started either. My man was put through hell just for wanting to live his dream pic.twitter.com/UTmjheMQxl

But, Benoit was pretty serious and in fact, banished The Miz from the WWE locker room. The Miz couldn’t believe the accusation leveled against him. On the other hand, The Miz said that Benoit made it seem like he was smearing chicken all over the place. These continuous kickouts from the locker room didn’t bode well for The Miz.
In fact, he was also forced to use the restrooms meant for the audience instead of the ones assigned to wrestlers.
