A recently uploaded video on social media captured rare footage from the latest iteration of WWE RAW from 2nd October 2023. The video shared on X displayed Cody Rhodes making a quick slide in the ring and overpowering a group. Close inspection of the clip revealed that Rhodes intervened in a beatdown of Tommaso Ciampa and Gargano by The Imperium.

According to the caption of the tweet, “After the show, Cody Rhodes came out to help DIY.”The American Nightmare charged in and took out The Imperium and dispatched them with hard-hitting moves. 

Rhodes ended The Imperium’s assault with a vicious Cross-Rhodes and saved the day for the ‘DIY.’ Rhodes helped the former NXT champions escape a heavy beatdown with his last-second intervention.

His help ensured that Tommaso Ciampa didn’t suffer a lot of damage after taking on WWE Intercontinental Champion, Gunther.

This wasn’t the first time Cody Rhodes indulged in an off-camera act of heroism. In fact, he helped another rival of Gunther the last time he pulled an off-camera move. 

Rhodes makes the crowd cheer for a deserving WWE superstar

Cody Rhodes recently outdid his reputation as a great and respected wrestler. While Rhodes was making his way to the ring for his match post-RAW, he witnessed Chad Gable exiting the ring simultaneously after his heroic effort against Gunther for the title on the September 4 edition of RAW. However, Rhodes didn’t allow Gable to exit. In fact, The American Nightmare asked Gable to get back in the ring as he made his way inside as well. 

The American Nightmare raised the hand of Gable and yelled for the crowd to cheer for him. 

Despite his defeat, everyone, including Rhodes, acknowledged his struggle and hard work for the prestigious championship. This garnered a huge amount of love and respect for Rhodes and reminded everyone why they cheer for him over others.
