However, it seems fans are still hoping about the possibility of her WWE return somewhere in the future. In the current edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer further hinted at that possibility. With a confusing bunch of phrases, he wrote, ‘There were points that Mercedes Monè has asked WWE for that she would have to give up asking for if she wants to sign a deal with them, but the door is open for her otherwise.’

This definitely stirred reaction among fans, but that is not associated with something you thought.
Fans took a dig at Meltzer’s poor reporting
The very meaning of the report was that Mone’s deal with Stardom’s and NPJW’s parent company is about to end in April. So, there is still a chance for her to come back to his old wrestling home only if she gave up on certain terms and conditions which she previously mentioned and which Meltzer thinks WWE won’t approve.
But, the phrasing of the entire report didn’t sit well with the majority of the fans as had trouble deciphering it at the first reading. They seemed to be more interested in the complicated English than the report itself.
They roasted Meltzer on the comment threads for using poor English.
That makes no sense

Basically what you’re trying to say is that Mercedes deal is almost up and the door for a wwe return would be open if she would give up her demands for the failed contract negotiation that she had before she left
— Jeremy 🫧 (@HeyjustJ) March 24, 2023
We are yet to see what will be Mercedes Mone’s next stop after her Stardom match in April. For now, the possibility of a WWE return is still there on the list.
