“Was Having a Stroke” – Popular Wrestling Journalist Roasted Over His English on Twitter After He Provides Confusing Update on Sasha Bank’s WWE Return

Lately, popular wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer has been facing enough criticism from fans on Twitter for providing sometimes inaccurate, repetitive information. This time around fans roasted him real bad for the poor phrasing of sentences in his recent report regarding Sasha Banks‘ aka Mercedes Mone’s potential WWE return.

Mercedes Mone’s WWE return possibility has not faded out

The former WWE star, currently known as Marcedes Mone, has often been in discussion since she officially left WWE back in January, marking the end of a decorative career. The true reason behind her disassociation with WWE is still unclear, although the star gave a surface-level reason which was her desire to join her dream promotion, NPJW. But there is an underneath story that she reportedly chose to keep hidden.

Mone made her much-awaited debut in  NPJW during wrestle Kingdom 17 in January and successfully took down Kairi to clinch the prestigious IGPW Women’s Championship title a month later It was a milestone moment for her.

She is currently set to defend the title against AZM and Hazuki at Sakura Genesis next month. She is also supposed to appear in a Stardom match later in the same month.

However, it seems fans are still hoping about the possibility of her WWE return somewhere in the future. In the current edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer further hinted at that possibility. With a confusing bunch of phrases, he wrote, ‘There were points that Mercedes Monè has asked WWE for that she would have to give up asking for if she wants to sign a deal with them, but the door is open for her otherwise.’

This definitely stirred reaction among fans, but that is not associated with something you thought.

Fans took a dig at Meltzer’s poor reporting

The very meaning of the report was that Mone’s deal with Stardom’s and NPJW’s parent company is about to end in April. So, there is still a chance for her to come back to his old wrestling home only if she gave up on certain terms and conditions which she previously mentioned and which Meltzer thinks WWE won’t approve.

But, the phrasing of the entire report didn’t sit well with the majority of the fans as had trouble deciphering it at the first reading. They seemed to be more interested in the complicated English than the report itself.

They roasted Meltzer on the comment threads for using poor English.

Some of them sarcastically claimed that they have a stroke, comprehending this.

A few of them felt relieved after finding out the same sufferers as them in the comment section.

A user even mocked it as a code language of some sort.

Some came up with funny pictures and GIFs expressing their reaction after reading these hilarious English sentences.

However, a few people came to the rescue of others by explaining the thing in simple terms.

We are yet to see what will be Mercedes Mone’s next stop after her Stardom match in April. For now, the possibility of a WWE return is still there on the list.
