Was The Undertaker Ever in a Coma?

There are many things that immediately come to mind as a wrestling fan when you hear the name “The Undertaker.” The iconic WrestleMania moments, Kane vs The Undertaker, his Deadman gimmick, and many such things. Thanks to his many iconic WWE moments, ‘The Phenom’ will always be immortal in the WWE world.
There are several things that made him stand out as a WWE wrestler. In addition to his enormous stature, demeanor, and entrance walk, there are many other qualities that made him a legend. Additionally, he has been a part of countless plots in which he was badly injured and raised from the dead.

Strangely, one such event included Rey Mysterio savagely assaulting the powerful Taker. After Mysterio delivered 619 and broke Taker’s orbital bone, Taker was dealt with a severe blow. Subsequently, WWE revealed The Deadman was in a vegetative state.
Was The Undertaker really in a coma?
It is common knowledge that WWE creates several stories, leading some WWE fans to falsely assume they are real. Here’s an example of one such plot:

If you didn’t know, The Undertaker was viciously hurt and had his orbital bone broken in the 2010 bout between Rey Mysterio and The Undertaker. After Kane’s assault, Taker was subsequently found in a vegetative state.
In a later SmackDown episode, Kane claimed Rey Mysterio also played a role in putting Taker in a coma. Mysterio wasn’t engaged in this, though. This was created to fill the void left by Taker leaving the ring.

Additionally, he wasn’t actually in a coma; he was just injured. Albeit being hurt and suffering from a concussion, he never fell into a coma. As WWE enthusiasts are aware, Taker was used to taking part in a few confrontations in the latter stages of his WWE tenure.
Additionally, Taker stepped away from the WWE at this time as well. Meanwhile, Kane won the WWE heavyweight championship, and his action of putting Taker into a coma was used to resurrect the fierce rivalry.
