The Man scored a victory against her arch-nemesis with a Manhandle Slam from the top rope. At the concluding part of the match, Zoey Starks abruptly showed up to come to the help of her mentor. But Lynch’s brilliant handling made the plan futile.

That being said, Stratus didn’t get sidelined at all. The Canadian wrestler left the arena with a huge token of appreciation from the live crowd for showing commendable resilience against Lynch’s beating.

An emotional crowd lauded Trish Stratus as she bounced back

Reaching the finale of a long-lived rivalry since WrestleMania 39, the Payback encounter between two of the big talents of the WWE women’s roster was supposed to be highly physical. With heated spirits, the two women brought the best out of each other with a series of choking attacks and counterattacks. In the process, the quintessential WWE diva hurt her legs and struggled to walk as spotted by fans.

Very few women in wrestling history have reached the same height of success as Trish Stratus. The Hall of Famer has had countless noteworthy moments in her epic Hall of Fame run.

One of such moment came during WrestleMania 22 when Mickey James turned heel on her idol. While James secured her first-ever WWE Championship win by defeating Stratus in that match, what made the match significant for Stratus was the huge ovation she received from her colleagues once she made her way to the back.
