Very few WWE superstars can lay claim to the international fame garnered by a pro wrestler other than John Cena. The 16-time WWE Champion has been the global face of WWE for over two decades, and his popularity still persists. However, the latest international PLE of WWE in Australia, The Elimination Chamber, saw Cena’s name incurring major boos.

The WWE Universe in Australia had been eagerly waiting for a PLE to come to their country. Despite the electric excitement shown by the Aussies, John Cena had to face a complete rejection from the crowd. But was this something random, or did the leader of the Cenation really do something to earn the disapproval of Perth?

WWE Australia will be witnessing their home contender Rhea Ripley wrestle in front of them after seven long years. The Judgment Day member will be defending her title against Nia Jax right before the upcoming WrestleMania 40 PLE. This moment truly means a lot for both the Aussie fans and Mami. However, John Cena wanted the WWE to venture into the UK for WrestleMania season. The man of hustle, loyalty, and respect was vouching for London to be a host for an upcoming WrestleMania. Grayson Waller noted that Cena made this declaration while they were already in London’s O2 Arena.

While relaying this to WWE Australia, the Australian superstar laughed and said “Cena sucks”. He also urged the Australian fans to show WWE that they are the better crowd so that more PLEs find their way to his home country. However, this turned into a bad Waller Effect for John Cena.

WWE used to have an NXT UK title, which was discontinued last year. On top of it, WWE has already announced a UK tour in April. Thus, WWE Universe Australia became infuriated when John Cena wanted the one PLE Australia received to go to London as well.  While it’s often said that nobody can see Cena, Perth particularly didn’t want to see him when he arrived. Although John Cena may have lost the confidence and love of Australia for now, he may soon win their hearts once again.
