WWE and NFL Fame Superstar Shares Shocking Story of His Battle With a Life Threatening Disease: “I Almost Died”

COVID-19 has affected the careers of several people, including a former WWE superstar. Former NFL star Mojo Rawley was one of them as he had COVID-19 almost 19 months ago. The former WWE 24/7 Champion recently took to Instagram and gave an update to all his fans as he announced his return to professional wrestling.

He had experienced the effects of COVID-19 pretty badly, but battled all the difficulties and went through all the suffering like a brave and fighting warrior.

In the video on Instagram, the former WWE superstar recalled his earlier days since he had COVID-19 almost 19 months ago. He mentioned the condition of his lungs and revealed he almost died.

He said, “About 19 months ago, I got COVID extremely badly. I had to go to the hospital. I almost died and my lungs were just in really bad shape, so much so that in the beginning I couldn’t have any extra pressure on my lungs or else it would suffocate me.”

Mojo Rawley will soon be back inside the squared circle

It has been almost 20 months since the former WWE 24/7 Champion stepped inside the squared circle.

His last match took place in June 2020 against Chad Gable (at the time Shorty G) on WWE SmackDown. Rawley got released by WWE after almost 10 months of inactivity following his match against Gable.

But thankfully, he will soon make his comeback inside the squared circle.

In his Instagram video, the former WWE superstar revealed he is getting pretty close to full recovery and his training has already begun.

Rawley said, “But fast forward 19 months later, I’m not quite 100 percent, but I’m getting pretty close. My training has been kicked up and I’m feeling good enough to announce officially that I’m coming back to wrestling.”
