The Coronavirus pandemic has disrupted sporting events all over the world. However, the same cannot be said for sports entertainment company WWE. They taped shows for the last few weeks and aired Wrestlemania 36 behind closed doors at the Performance Center in Orlando. They returned to live format too with last Monday’s episode of RAW and are going full steam ahead with the post Wrestlemania schedule.

Wrestlemanias in recent years have been followed by the Money in the Bank event. It features superstars competing in a ladder match to retrieve a briefcase. This guarantees them a Championship match anytime, anyplace. However, this year’s Money in the Bank match will have a slight twist. A report on the WWE website says that the participants will have a challenge that is far more unique.

This year the Superstars will not have to just set up a ladder, climb it and retrieve the briefcase. Instead, they will have to fight through an entire building. This is because the 2020 Money in the Bank match will take place at WWE Headquarters.

It will begin on the ground floor and end when one superstar retrieves the briefcase which will be hanging on the roof of the tower. The tagline for the event is “climb the corporate ladder.” It is definitely what they will be doing on May 10.

Winning the match seemingly guarantees that a superstar will be a future world champion. Only 4 cash-ins out of 23 to date have been unsuccessful.

The 2020 Money in the Bank will have 2 ladder matches. The only confirmed participant in the men’s match is Daniel Bryan. Asuka, Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax and Dana Brooke are confirmed for the women’s match. A series of qualifiers will be held over the next 2 weeks to determine who will join the fray for the one of its kind match at WWE Headquarters.
